Sprouts Chilla
Preparation time: 10 mins + soaking time (8 hours)
Cooking time: 15 mins
Total time: 25 mins
Quantity: 4 Servings (makes about 8 chillas)
Ingredients:
- 1 cup mixed sprouts (moong, chana, etc.)
- ½ cup besan (chickpea flour)
- 1 small onion, finely chopped
- 1 green chili, chopped
- ¼ tsp turmeric powder
- Salt to taste
- Fresh coriander leaves, chopped
- Oil for cooking
Method:
- Soak the mixed legumes overnight and sprout them.
- In a blender, combine sprouts, besan, onion, green chili, turmeric, and salt. Blend into a smooth batter, adding water as needed.
- Heat a non-stick tawa and grease it lightly with oil.
- Pour a ladleful of batter and spread it into a thin circle.
- Cook until golden brown on both sides, adding oil as needed.
- Serve hot with green chutney or curd.
