Ingredients:

  • 2 cups milk (dairy or plant-based)
  • 1 tsp turmeric powder
  • 1/2 inch fresh ginger, grated (or 1/4 tsp ground ginger)
  • A pinch of cinnamon
  • A pinch of black pepper
  • Honey or jaggery to taste

Method:

  • In a saucepan, combine milk, turmeric powder, ginger, cinnamon and black pepper.
  • Heat gently while stirring until warm; but not boiling which typically takes about 5-7 minutes.
  • Sweeten with honey/jaggery.
  • Pour into mugs and serve warm.
