Ingredients:

  • 1 cup ragi (nachni/red millet) flour
  • ½ cup grated low-fat paneer (cottage cheese)
  • 2 Tbsp besan(bengal gram flour)
  • 1 tsp sesame seeds (til)
  • ½ cup finely chopped onions
  • ¼ cup chopped coriander
  • 1 tsp green chilli paste
  • ½ tsp ginger paste
  • Salt to taste
  • 21/2 tsp oil for greasing and cooking

Cooking Method:

  • Combine all the ingredients in a bowl and mix well to make a batter of pouring consistency using enough water
  • Heat a non-stick tawa and grease it lightly using the ¼ tsp of oil
  • Pour a ladleful of the batter on the non-stick tawa and spread it in a circular motion to make 5” diameter circle
  • Cook, using ¼ tsp of oil, till it turns golden brown in colour from both the sides
  • Repeat steps 3 and 4 to make more chilas
  • Serve hot with coriander green garlic chutney
